Bee Vs. Wasp
Believe it or not, there is often confusion from people differentiating a bee from a wasp. Check out this video from Pestworld, which gives a run-down on each.
For instance, bees have robust, hairy bodies, while wasps are smooth and shiny, with slimmer bodies. The biggest difference is that bees are pollinators and spend much of their time around flowers and plants. Wasps, however, are predators that are built for hunting other insects, such as flies and caterpillars.
Something bees and wasps do have in common: they sting when they feel threatened. With that said, never provoke one of these insects and if you have a nest around your home, do not attempt to get rid of it yourself. Call a pest control company who can safely eradicate the problem.
It is always important to “bee” careful when it comes to stinging insects!
