For those of you going on vacation this summer be sure to be on the lookout for bedbugs. They can be found in hotels or even airplane seats. And when you get home you are still not out of the wood.
Experts say that before reentering your home you should remove all clothes from your bags and shake them in case any bedbugs may have found their way onto your clothes. Once you are done shaking your clothes outside, you want to put them straight into the washer and dryer, this process will kill them. You want to at least put your clothes in the dryer so the heat can kill them.
Since heat kills these bugs then simply leaving your luggage in a hot car could be enough to kill them as well. The bedbug population has exploded, but as long as you know where they hide, then you can avoid them with a little vigilance.
Have you ever brought bedbugs home from a vacation? How bad did the infestation get?
